The first step to any successful project is client acquisition. If you ain’t got a client, then you’re just some weird guy with a laptop. With a client, you are god.
I’ve had my eyes on my next target for a while now. A smart, brilliant young lady on a dark path to oblivion. She could’ve had everything; money, happiness, love. But all of that started falling apart the day she signed up for her FREE Wix website.
“Hey, it’s free. What could possibly go wrong?”… Alas, as all stories go, that was the day her life took a sharp right turn….

See, nowadays it’s super easy to build and manage your own website sans SaaS. Not that SaaS is bad per-se (heck, I’m using WordPress right now. Instant regret FYI, but that’s a story for another time…).
Sure, it’s a tad difficult to get started, and you need some patience and a lot of Googling, but anyone can do it, and do it well! As long as you get past the mentality of, ‘I’m not a programmer’, ‘I don’t have enough money to run a proper website’, ‘I don’t have the time’…
Well OK, the last one is pretty valid, but my point still stands.
Anyway, as soon as I convince her to drop Wix (argh, I’m so triggered!), we’ll get crackin’. And hey, I’ll document the process here, step by step, with screenshots, for all you sleepy photographers out there.
Happy photoin’! Or whatever it is you do.
